Blue Hose Gear Up for Three Home Matches this Weekend

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team hosts a busy weekend in Clinton, with games against UNC Wilmington, Davidson, and Converse.

A LOOK AT THE BLUE HOSE
- Presbyterian has taken a 3-8 record so far this season, picking up their wins over Lander, Queens, and Alabama A&M.
- Senior Valentina De Sousa leads the team with a 5-5 singles record, picking up three wins at the number three position, one at the number one slot, and one while competing at the third position.
- Junior McKenzie Davis leads the team in doubles with a 4-5 mark, while seeing a 3-0 record while paired with freshman Mary Ellen Longmire.
- The Blue Hose are led by sixth year head coach Joel Roberts.
 
SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
- UNCW has taken a 0-1 record this season with their only match being their loss to William and Mary.
- In this match the Seahawks' junior Elif Albayrak took the only point of the day, seeing a 1-6, 6-2, 6-3 victory at the number five singles position.
- The team was unable to grab any doubles wins, with junior Eda Arli joining Albayrak at the number one doubles slot.
- The Seahawks are under the direction of 10th year head coach Hans Olsen.
 
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
- Davidson has earned a 5-2 record this season, with wins over Lenoir-Rhyne (x2), UNC Greensboro, Queens, and East Carolina.
- Sophomore Bryson Langford leads the team in singles with a 4-1 mark while competing mainly at the number two slot.
- Langford also leads the Wildcats in doubles with a 4-0 record at the number two doubles position. She has taken three of her four wins while teamed up with junior Savanna Kollock.
- The Wildcats are led by eighth year head coach Susanne Depka.

SCOUTING THE VALKYRIES
 - Converse has taken a 1-3 record so far this season with a win over Limestone.
- Junior Khushi Kharb leads the team in singles with a 3-1 record with each game being played at the number number one position.
- Junior Laurel Maynor and freshman Romy Rueffn are the team's leading doubles pair with a 1-0 mark at the third doubles slot.
- The Valkyries are under the direction of head coach James Smith.

SPRING SLATE
Sixth year head coach Joel Roberts and the Blue Hose women's tennis team will compete in 22 matches throughout the spring, seven of which will be played here in Clinton at the Templeton Tennis Courts. In league play, PC will host UNC Asheville on April 2 and Radford on April 12.
