CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team (4-10) had a dominant performance against the Converse Valkyries (1-3) on Sunday afternoon, completing the sweep with a 7-0 win. The team also welcomed back their amazing alumni to cheer on their alma mater today.
 
DOUBLES
The Blue Hose started off strong in doubles play with Claudia Sanchez and Elle Sceney taking down Converse's Romy Rueff and Sofia Giraldo-Jimenez 6-1 at the number two doubles slot. McKenzie Davis and Mary Ellen Longmire followed up with a 6-1 victory over the Valkyries Tamanna Panwar and Laurel Maynor at the third doubles position, claiming the doubles point for Presbyterian. Madison Dennett and Valentina De Sousa rounded out the doubles matches with a 6-3 win at the number one spot against their opponents Khushi Kharb and Lais Martins.
 
SINGLES
Davis completed her singles match at the number two slot with a win over Converse's Martins without giving up a point; 6-0, 6-0. De Sousa was next to strike as she beat the Valkyries Sofia Giraldo-Jimenez 6-0, 6-1 at the number three position. With the Blue Hose leading 3-0, Sanchez secured the win for PC with a number one singles win over her opponent, Tamanna Panwar 6-2, 6-2.
 
Longmire, Dailey, and Sceney were able to finish off the Valkyries with wins at the number five, six, and four positions respectively. These three wins allowed PC to walk off the courts with a solid 7-0 win.
