Kishyah Anderson scored a Presbyterian Division I record 40 points, but the Presbyterian Blue Hose (6-23, Big South: 4-12) lost to the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs (11-17, Big South: 8-8), 91-81, on the road on Saturday afternoon.
Anderson's connected on 18 field goals on the way to her 40 points performance.
Paige Kindseth scored 16 points.
Shelby Fiddler added 15 points to the Blue Hose's efforts.
Laney Scoggins grabbed 11 rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST QUARTER – Gardner-Webb scored the game's first six points. Anderson got the Blue Hose on the board, connecting on a jump shot. With Gardner-Webb leading 21-8 with 2:21 on the clock, the Blue Hose closed the quarter on a 13-6 run, cutting Gardner-Webb's lead to 27-21.

SECOND QUARTER—The Runnin' Bulldogs pushed their lead to nine points early in the quarter. At 8:09, Presbyterian's Fiddler connected on a three cutting Gardner-Webb's lead to six points. Gardner-Webb would take a 12-point lead on a couple of occasions. With Gardner-Webb leading 43-31 with 3:54 on the clock, Presbyterian scored six of the next eight points, cutting their deficit to 43-37 after a jumper from Anderson with 1:09 left in the half. Gardner-Webb scored four of the quarter's final six points to take a 47-39 halftime lead.

THIRD QUARTER – Behind baskets from Kindseth, Scoggins, and Anderson, the Blue Hose began the quarter on a 6-0 run, cutting Gardner-Webb's lead to 47-45. Then, Gardner-Webb scored eight straight points, pushing their lead back to double digits. With GWU leading 56-49 with 2:54 on the clock, a three from Fiddler and a jumper shot just outside the paint by Anderson got the Blue Hose back to within two points of Gardner-Webb. The Runnin' Bulldogs scored the final four points of the quarter, pushing their lead to 60-54.

FOURTH QUARTER – Kindseth started the scoring with a jump shot, getting the Blue Hose within four points. Then, Gardner-Webb scored eight of the next 10 points, taking a 68-58 lead with 7:22 on the clock.  With 43 seconds on the clock, Gardner-Webb led 82-72, with a three from Fiddler and a fast break layup from Anderson, the Blue Hose cut Gardner-Webb's lead to 82-77. The Blue Hose were not able to get any closer to Gardner-Webb the rest of the game.
