CLEMSON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College baseball team (12-14, Big South: 4-2) battled through nine innings but fell 9-1 to the No. 6 Clemson Tigers (24-3, ACC: 4-2) on Wednesday night at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Clemson struck early, plating two runs in the bottom of the first to take the lead.
- In the second inning, Matthew Rollison and Ryan Ouzts drew back-to-back walks, prompting a Clemson pitching change. Jackson Hugus followed with a walk to load the bases, setting up Brody Linker, who delivered an RBI groundout to score Rollison and put the Blue Hose on the board.
- After a scoreless third inning, the Tigers broke the game open in the fourth, tallying four runs behind a two-run homer from sophomore infielder Luke Gaffney.
- With Clemson leading 7-1, both teams were held scoreless in the fifth and sixth innings.
- The Tigers extended their lead in the seventh with two more runs, pushing the advantage to 9-1.
- A final Clemson run in the eighth inning capped the scoring, sealing the 9-1 result.

- Rhogue Wallace stepped in as a pinch hitter in the sixth inning and roped his second double of the season to left-center field.
