CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian recorded three singles wins and a doubles victory, but the Blue Hose (5-7) lost to the Campbell Fighting Camels (3-7), 4-3, in a tightly contested match at the Templeton Tennis Courts.
Campbell captured the doubles point with wins on courts one and three. Presbyterian's
Pedro Cardoso and
Daksh Prasad recorded the match's first win with a 6-4 victory at number two doubles.
SINGLES
The three teams split the six singles matches. At number four singles, Presbyterian
Denim Yadav tied the score at one with a 6-4, 6-3 win.
David Mamalat gave the Blue Hose a 2-1 lead with a 6-3, 6-2 win at number one.
Eduardo Valentin increased Presbyterian's lead to 3-1 with a 6-3, 6-4 victory on court five. Campbell would win the next three matches to nip the Blue Hose, 4-3. Campbell's wins at number two, six, and three singles were all in three tightly contested sets.
