GREENSBORO, N.C. – The final day of the 2025 season where the Presbyterian College softball team encounters a non-conference opponent, Wednesday afternoon will see a doubleheader between the Scotsmen and North Carolina A&T. First pitch in the two-parter is labeled for 1:00 PM.
Both the Blue Hose and the Bulldogs are looking to reclaim some mojo after recent misfortunes, as PC is tagged with an eight-game losing skid while A&T sits at six straights losses themselves.
Tomorrow will not be the first time that these two schools have locked horns, as they also met twice on a neutral field at Western Carolina back in February. A&T survived a furious Presbyterian rally to win the first bout 12-11, only for the Blue Hose to punch back in a 10-2 mercy rule the next day.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- The Bulldogs have posted a 6-19 mark since they split with PC in Cullowhee, a member of the Coastal Athletic Association who has been swept five times and recently was broomed by Delaware.
- A&T managed to win two out of three over Towson in league play, but will enter Wednesday's twinbill with last weekend fresh on their minds; a series where they never found a single run and were outscored by a final tally of 29-0.
- This is the second season for head coach Jose Gonzalez, Jr., as his squad has earned five of their nine victories when playing at home. Outfielder Katriel Williams paces the Bulldogs with 34 hits and a 9-for-9 stolen base rate.
LAST TIME OUT
- It was a series to forget for Presbyterian on Saturday and Sunday as they were bested three times by Gardner-Webb, situating the Blue Hose with some work to do in order to nail down a top-five spot in the Big South and thus qualify for the conference tournament.
- Game 2 in the G-W series was particularly zany, a nine-inning marathon that was enabled due to a Runnin' Bulldog score with just one out left in the top of the 7
th. They'd hit a grand slam in extras to clinch the series 10-5, which then led to a 5-1 result less than 24 hours later.
- When PC last encountered A&T back in the early stages of the season, their first clash was a war of attrition and offered up a combined 23 runs and 25 hits.
- Conceding 10 late A&T runs to find themselves trailing 12-6 in the 7
th, head coach
David Williams' crew came moments away from pulling out a last-inning stunner. They produced five runs on six hits in that singular frame, but ended up a run short.
- Presby exacted revenge in the second try, belting three home runs in a single inning en route to a 10-2 mauling.
Blair Darby,
Kendall Owens, and
Maddi Wood all cleared the fence as PC piled up six runs in the 3
rd.
