BIG SOUTH DAVIS
Senior McKenzie Davis was named Big South Player of the Week for the second consecutive week after some dominant performances in both doubles and singles matches. She earned her first title on Feb. 19 after the team completed a 7-0 sweep over Alabama A&M. Davis played a key role in this match, securing the victory at the number three doubles position while teamed up with Mary Ellen Longmire. The duo took down Alabama A&M's Naomi Blanks and Ntokozo Zungu 6-1. Davis followed up with a straight-set singles win at the number two slot, defeating the Bulldogs' Alicia Owegi 6-0, 6-1. The next day the Blue Hose fell to Chattanooga in a close battle where Davis posted another doubles victory alongside Longmire. They took down Chattanooga's Margaret Manolache and Emma Pedretti at the number three slot 6-3. Once again competing at the number two singles position, Davis completed the perfect week by defeating the Mocs' Madlena Orlova 6-3, 6-0.

The following week, Davis proved her consistency, competing at the number two singles position throughout the weekend, she posted two straight-set victories, defeating Davidson's Savanna Kollock 6-3, 6-3 before blanking Converse's Lais Martins 6-0, 6-0. Her dominant play earned her the Big South award on Feb. 26.
