Fan Day ’25; PC Football Brings Hype into Upcoming Season

CLINTON, S.C. – A marquee event on the Presbyterian College football team's preseason calendar, the Clinton community showed up in large numbers yet again for the annual Blue Hose Fan Day sponsored by Prisma Health.

Carried out at Bailey Memorial Stadium – PC's home for football since 2002 – the rise in popularity for Fan Day has generated a great deal of excitement for the beginning of the 2025 season in exactly one week.

Fan Day included many activities on Bailey Memorial's concourse, such as autograph sessions with Presbyterian student-athletes and a meet-and-greet with coaches. PC conducted a brief intersquad scrimmage at the conclusion of the event.

Head coach Steve Englehart will lead the charge for the 113th season of Blue Hose football, kicking off on August 30 with a visit to 11th-ranked Mercer in Georgia. After facing Furman in Greenville the next week, PC starts a three-game homestand on Saturday, September 13 against Erskine.

WORDS FROM COACH ENGLEHART

"I believe this was the biggest turnout of fans that we've had for this event in my four years here. To have that kind of support on a gloomy, rainy day – at least before six o'clock – was great to see. We need the fans as much as they need us, and we're very appreciative of this community for the support. The players have earned it with their hard work."

"This was our 21st practice of preseason camp. We've had other traditional scrimmages earlier this month, but the main concept of tonight was to be fundamentally sound with situational football. Our guys are locked in, we're making all the right preparations, and we're excited for the opportunity at Mercer next Saturday."

Season tickets for the new campaign are available now, as are single-game seats for any of PC's six home games this fall. A link to purchase those tickets can be found below:
