MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – In the last non-conference appearance for the Presbyterian College women's soccer team until Big South play begins next weekend, the Blue Hose were dealt a 2-0 loss to College of Charleston on Sunday afternoon.
It was a game where offense was a struggle, as PC posted their lone shot of the meeting late in the second half. The Cougars scored once in either period to win by a deuce, hitting at 39:06 and 66:48.
Presbyterian finishes their non-conference schedule with three wins, four losses, and a tie. They'll reset for Radford on September 20, as it's strictly Big South battles from this point forward.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- Both clubs had identical records at the beginning of the day, with C-of-C coming off a 5-0 thrashing over Gardner-Webb earlier in the week.
- The Cougars were victorious in their last two attempts by an 8-1 combined tally (also including a commanding W against North Florida), and although their offense was subdued a bit by PC, the Scotsmen were unable to answer Charleston's earliest strike.
- Bella Antonio put the home side on top with nearly 10 minutes left in half number one, and Maggie Heffernan followed suit in the 67
th minute to put PC in a dire spot.
- Sophomore keeper
Gracie Moulton was a busy individual throughout the match, landing seven saves while dealing with 10 shots-on-goal.

UP NEXT

- PC vs. Radford was the game that closed the Big South regular season schedule last year, but it will be the matchup that starts off the league slate in 2025. The Highlanders came to Martin Stadium last October, winning 3-0.
- Radford captured the Big South Championship in both 2022 and 2023, nearly making it back to the conference title game 10 months ago if it hadn't been for an overtime heartbreaker against High Point in the semifinal round.
- It will have been nine days since Radford last took the field by the time they tussle with the Blue Hose, last seen on the losing end of a 4-2 shootout versus ETSU.
- First touch in Clinton on Saturday is set for 7:00 PM.
