Presbyterian Knocks Off Wofford On The Road

SPARTANBURG,  S.C. – Behind two doubles and three singles wins, the Presbyterian Blue Hose (3-3) knocked off the Wofford Terriers (5-4) on the road on Tuesday afternoon.
 
DOUBLES
For the third time this season, Presbyterian captured the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. At number one doubles, Presbyterian's David Mamalat and Matija Samardzic posted their fourth win of the season with a 6-3 victory over Wofford's Jake Deveney and Valdemar Dubin, 6-3. At number two doubles, Presbyterian's Thomas Anderson and Dario Navarro clinched the doubles point for the Blue Hose with a 6-4 win over Wofford's Hugo Rask and J. Brager-Carlsen.  
 
SINGLES
Presbyterian recorded wins at number two, one, and five singles to claim the overall victory. At number two singles, Presbyterian's Daksh Prasad captured his third win of the season with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Wofford's Deveney. At number one singles, Mamalat gave the Blue Hose a 3-0 lead with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Wofford's Daniel Clivio. The victory was Mamalat's third of the season. Wofford cut PC's lead to 3-1 with a win on court three. Then, Navarro clinched the overall victory with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Wofford's Jack Burdell on court five. The win was Navarro's third of the season. Wofford made the Presbyterian's final margin of victory, 4-3, with wins on courts six and four.

Presbyterian returns to the Templeton Tennis Courts to play Belmont Abbey in a doubleheader this Saturday, February 21. The first match is at 11 a.m., the second match starts at 2 p.m.
