Presbyterian Guts Out Road Win at Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.  – Behind a dramatic match clinching three sets win by Gabriel Godoy, the Presbyterian Blue Hose (4-3) defeated the Chattanooga Mocs (4-6), 4-3, on the road on Sunday.
 
DOUBLES
For the fourth time this season, Presbyterian captured the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. At number one doubles, Presbyterian's David Mamalat and Matija Samardzic posted their fifth win of the season with a 6-1 win over Chattanooga's Jakub Jupa and TJ Ryerson. Chattanooga posted a win on court three. At number two doubles, Presbyterian's Thomas Anderson and Dario Navarro clinched the doubles point for the Blue Hose with a 7-5 win over Chattanooga's Jaxon Lamb and Carter Ramthun.
 
SINGLES
Presbyterian recorded wins at number two, three, and six singles to claim the overall victory. Chattanooga tied the match at one with a victory on court one. Then, Daksh Prasad put the Blue Hose back in front with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Chattanooga's Kristof Kincses on court two. Then, Matija Samardzic gave the Blue Hose a 3-1 lead with a 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 win at number three singles. Chattanooga tied the match at three with wins at numbers four and five singles. Then, Godoy, after dropping the first set, 6-4, he stormed back to win the next two sets, 6-4, 6-2, giving the Blue Hose a 4-3 win.
