Match Recap: Women's Tennis |

Blue Hose Fall to North Florida 7-0

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team (4-4) dropped a home match to North Florida 7-0 on Thursday afternoon (Feb. 19) on the Templeton Center Tennis Courts.


In between doubles and singles, the Blue Hose honored the family of PC women's tennis alum Kathryn Kleckley. The match was a Pink Out in her honor.

 

The Ospreys won on doubles courts one and three to begin the match and grab an early 1-0 lead over Presbyterian.


North Florida kept the momentum going in singles, taking five first sets. The Ospreys picked up singles wins on all six courts to secure the victory.


Ladina Bruhin took her first set 6-4 on the top court and battled throughout her match. She came up short in a tight three-set to Laurie Barendse.


Mary Ellen Longmire won her second set on court six before falling in another narrow deciding set.
