CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College softball team will engage in a midweek doubleheader with North Carolina A&T tomorrow afternoon, returning home briefly after a Winthrop tournament that yielded a 1-2 effort.
Winning five of their nine home appearances thus far, the Blue Hose will entertain a program that used to be a Big South Conference rival until their move to the CAA in 2023.
Head coach
David Williams sports a 7-2 all-time record against the Bulldogs, but Wednesday will be the first time ever that A&T has visited Clinton. The DH starts at 2:00 on ESPN+.
PC and A&T have combined for 13 wins at this stage of the season, as the Scotsmen look to slow down an opponent that took three W's last weekend.

SCOUTING N.C. A&T
- The Bulldogs seem to have taken a large leap after winning only 12 games in all of 2025, earning a statement win over Memphis and outgunning Morehead State 11-10 over the weekend at a neutral tournament.
- Playing every game away from home, A&T poured in eight consecutive runs to defeat Memphis after trailing 5-0. Tyra Robinson smashed a walk-off solo home run in the Morehead victory.
- Third-year head coach Jose Gonzalez directed his squad to another noteworthy win over Bradley (8-1) and also walked off Evansville in nine innings with a double from Destiny Sims.
- A&T is a very powerful offensive bunch, hitting 13 homers this year. Robinson and Jamari Moss have combined for nine of those longballs, while ace pitcher Aaliyah Williams holds a 3.16 ERA.
- Presby played the Bulldogs four times last spring, splitting both doubleheaders.
LAST TIME OUT
- PC adjusted their weekend schedule to play one fewer game in Rock Hill due to overnight rain, dropping a one-run result to Drexel and going 1-1 versus George Washington.
- Coach Williams' crew produced five unanswered runs after falling behind 2-0 against the Revolutionaries, getting three RBI singles and a couple of one-score doubles.
- George Washington shut out Presbyterian in the second meeting, however (2-0).
Avery Robinson pitched six scoreless innings despite the loss, allowing only a two-run knock in the 2
nd.
- No team in the Big South holds a lower collective ERA than the Blue Hose (3.24). Robinson has been the most consistent player on both ends so far, hitting .389 and in possession of a conference-best 1.48 ERA.
- PC's newcomers have had very exciting starts, as
Hali Duke and
Cierra Grice (both true freshmen) have 13 total RBI.
