CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College freshman Ladina Bruhin earned her second Big South Freshman of the Week honor, as announced Wednesday (Feb. 4) by the conference.
She was also named Big South Freshman of the Week on Jan. 20.
Bruhin stayed undefeated to open her collegiate career in dual matches, winning both of her matches to help the Blue Hose secure a 4-3 victory over Belmont Abbey in PC's home opener on Friday (Jan. 30).
She defeated Hanley Riner and Mackenzie McCarthy 6-1 with partner Roxy Valdes on the top doubles court, clinching the doubles point for PC. In singles, she dominated en route to a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Alexis Burkhalter on the top court. She has dropped just one set so far in 2026 competing for the Blue Hose.
Following PC's 6-1 victory over Lander on Tuesday (Feb. 3), Bruhin boasts a combined 6-0 singles and doubles record in dual matches.
She is the third player in program history to win Big South Freshman of the Week multiple times, joining Beth Taylor (2x, 2017), and Claudia Sanchez (2x, 2022).
