LAST TIME OUT –  Presbyterian battled Radford for 50 minutes before falling 93-84 at the Templeton Center last Saturday. Redshirt senior forward Jonah Pierce paced the Blue Hose with 28 points and 16 rebounds. Redshirt junior forward Jaylen Peterson had one of the best performances of his career with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and six blocked shots. Sophomore guard Triston Wilson recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 assists. Junior guard Carl Parrish rounded out PC's double-figure scorers with 11 points.

INSIDE THE STAT SHEET – Pierce leads the Blue Hose in scoring at 16.9 points per game while averaging 20.9 points per game in Big South play. Pierce leads the Big South and ranks 21st in the nation in rebounding at 9.8 boards per game. Pierce is eighth in the nation with a Big South leading 13 double-doubles. Parrish is second on the team in scoring at 13.9 points per game and 15.3 in Big South Conference games while connecting on a team-high 59 three-point field goals this season. Ten PC players have knocked down at least one three-point field goal this season. Peterson is second on the team in rebounding at 7.2 rebounds per contest while averaging 10.1 points per game. Chiakwelu posted four blocked shots in the win over Charleston Southern (Jan. 23). Peterson has posted six blocked shots in a game twice in his career. Against Radford (Jan. 31), Peterson tallied six blocked shots. Last season, he accomplished that feat at Winthrop (Jan. 29, 2025). Against High Point (Jan. 29), Peterson recorded four blocks and Jonah Pierce collected three blocked shots.
 
DOUBLE-DIGIT BOARDS – Pierce has grabbed double-figure rebounds 15 times this season. Peterson has tallied seven double-figure rebound games.
 
PC COACH QUINTON FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his seventh season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 51 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks who are coaching their alma mater.
 
PRESBYTERIAN-GARDNER-WEBB SERIES – Saturday's game will be the 64th meeting between Presbyterian and Gardner-Webb, with Gardner-Webb holding a 37-26 series advantage. Presbyterian has won the last matchups between the two teams, including a 92-55 win at Gardner-Webb earlier this season on January 17. Pierce paced the Blue Hose with a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds in the road win. The Blue Hose beat Gardner-Webb, 68-57, in their last meeting in the Templeton Center, March 1, 2025. Former Blue Hose standout Kaleb Scott led the Blue Hose with 21 points in that win.

GARDNER-WEBB – The Runnin' Bulldogs average 67.6 points per game while their opponents average 87.0 points per game. Sophomore forward Jacob Hogarth leads Gardner-Webb in scoring at 10.7 points per game and rebounding at 6.9 rebounds per game.
