#6 Presbyterian Ends Regular Season in Tournament at Frostburg

FROSTBURG, Md. – The final opportunity for the sixth-ranked Presbyterian College women's wrestling team to further strengthen their resume before the postseason arrives, PC will participate in the Bobcat Open at Frostburg State this Saturday.

Brackets open up at 10:00 AM tomorrow in the regular season finale, as the Blue Hose look for some more hardware before the Southeast Regional Tournament later this month.

Head Coach Brian Vutianitis has favored a more dual-heavy schedule in 2026 which led to a very impressive 18-3 record in such events. Although PC has appeared in just three tournaments so far, they've won nine individual titles from eight different wrestlers.

All signs point to Presby finishing in the national top 10 for the fourth consecutive time. They broke a program record last season with a sixth-place standing and claimed six All-Americans in the process.

LAST TIME OUT

- The Scotsmen won their final five duals of the winter after an impressive 26-19 decision over ninth-ranked Lehigh exactly one week ago in Pennsylvania.

- It was Presby's eighth victory of the season against a top-25 opponent and their fifth W over a school inside the national top-10.

- Since December 17, PC has lost just once in 15 attempts. They currently boast nine nationally-ranked athletes and will be considered a favorite to win their second straight Southeast Region Championship.

- Maddie Kubicki and May Cuyler helped sway the result of the Lehigh dual in classes 145 and 160, respectively. The latter was named the Adidas / Game One PC Student-Athlete of the Week after a 1:11 pin that essentially guaranteed the victory.

- Presbyterian now plans to close the pre-Region schedule on a high note with the visit to Frostburg. Coincidentally, they went head-to-head with the Bobcats one week before Christmas and enjoyed a one-sided win by 28 points.
