FROSTBURG, Md. – The final stop for the sixth-ranked Presbyterian College women's wrestling team before the Southeast Region Tournament later this month, 11 Blue Hose athletes entered the Frostburg Bobcat Open on Saturday and grabbed five top-three placements.

Comprised of mostly underclassmen for this particular bracket, PC was highlighted by rookie Elizabeth Donovan who won the 138-lb. championship with four consecutive falls.

That moves her personal record to 17-5 over her debut season. She now leads the entire Presby roster with 14 pins since the slate started in November.

Behind Donovan's gold finish, the Blue Hose also scored a 2^nd-place nod from Sloane Kruger (103) and a couple of 3^rd-place standings by Zoe Griffith (145) and Lexi Fornshell (180).

Another fabulous freshman – Kaylie Hall – wrestled unattached and took home a 1st-place crown with five straight wins. She and Donovan both topped their respective divisions by beating a returning All-American in the championship match.

PC added up for 29 victories on Saturday as they make final preps for the Regional tourney and beyond. Nineteen of those 26 wins occurred via pin.

Griffith and Donovan have synced up for a combined record of 30-8 this winter, two more blossoming wrestlers for a roster that is littered with nine nationally-ranked competitors.
