PC Garners Six All-Americans for Second Straight Year

CORALVILLE, Iowa – For the second consecutive season, the Presbyterian College women's wrestling team has earned six All-American honors after being one of just four schools to qualify every weight class to the inaugural NCAA Championships.

On Saturday afternoon, the Blue Hose competed mostly on the consolation side of the bracket and achieved their highest finish from junior 145-pounder Maddie Kubicki who took home 4th.

She has now finished in the nationwide top six for all three of her collegiate campaigns, becoming the first PC wrestler in history to be a three-time All-American.

Sophomore May Cuyler (160) took down 13th-ranked Love Daley of Sacred Heart to place 5th in her bracket, one step up from her 6th-place standing last spring to become a two-time All-American.

Maria Aiono also finished on a positive note over an opponent from SHU, defeating seventh-seeded Josephine Larson in class 207 to grab a 7th-place nod.

NOTABLES

- Freshman Jenna Anderson (117) did not shy from the bright lights of Nationals over the weekend, winning over #6 Abigail Cooper (who represented Lehigh) to eventually end in 6th place.

- Presbyterian now has four multi-time All-Americans on their roster, as 124-pounder Alyssa Mahan also joined in on the action by finishing in 8th.

- After leading the country in dual win percentage with an 18-3 regular season record, the Blue Hose and two-time Region Coach of the Year Brian Vutianitis have laid down another building block to what is one of the most consistent programs in the sport.

- Kubicki and Cuyler (who were PC's two highest placers this season) combined for a 46-11 record since the slate started back in November. They've won 127 total matches in five combined seasons donning the Blue Hose colors.
