CHARLESTON, S.C. – Behind singles and doubles victories from
David Mamalat, the Presbyterian Blue Hose (7-3) picked up their fifth straight win with a 4-3 victory on the road at the Charleston Cougars (7-4).
DOUBLES
Charleston captured the doubles point with wins on courts two and three. At number one doubles, Presbyterian's Mamalat and
Matija Samardzic, who are ranked No. 56 in the ITA Doubles Rankings, recorded their seventh straight win with a 6-4 victory at number one doubles.
SINGLES
Presbyterian won four of the six singles matches to rally for the 4-3 road victory. Charleston increased their lead to 2-0 with a win at number six. Presbyterian's
Dario Navarro got the Blue Hose on the board with a 1-6, 6-0, 6-3 win at number five singles for his fifth win of the season. Presbyterian's
Daksh Prasad evened the match at two with a 6-4, 7-5 win on court two. The win was Prasad's fifth straight and seventh overall victory. Samardzic put the Blue Hose in front 3-2 with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-0 win at number three singles. The win was Samardzic's fourth straight and sixth overall victory. Charleston tied the match at three with a win at number four singles. Mamalat clinched the victory for the Blue Hose with a 6-7 (7-2), 6-4, 6-1 win at number one singles. The victory was Mamalat's fifth of the season.
