CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College baseball team (2-17) scored five runs in the first inning on Friday night (March 13) against UNC Asheville, but the Bulldogs stormed back to score five unanswered to grab a 6-5 win at the PC Baseball Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UNC Asheville struck first to start the game, opening the night with a double steal to get on the board.
- The Blue Hose immediately responded in the bottom of the first, starting the night with five runs in the team's first chance to bat. Three of the first four PC hitters walked to begin the inning before Matthew Rollison brought everyone home with a three-RBI triple to left center.Â
- Later in the inning, Rollison came around to score on an error. Brody Linker followed with a base knock up the middle to plate Presbyterian's fifth run of the frame.
- Tyrell Williams cruised through the next three innings on the mound, facing the minimum in the Asheville lineup.
- Williams continued to excel in the fifth, recording back-to-back strikeouts to strand two runners to keep PC ahead 5-1.
- The score would stay 5-1 until the seventh. The Bulldogs hit a two-RBI double to left center to plate two and inch closer to the Blue Hose.
- UNC Asheville kept its momentum in the eighth, taking advantage of two Presbyterian errors to take the lead for the first time in the game and go up 6-5.
- Presbyterian got a runner in scoring position with one more chance in the bottom of the ninth but could not capitalize, falling 6-5.

- Tyrell Williams made his longest appearance of the season (tied for the second longest of his career) on Friday night, finishing the game pitching 6.1 innings of three-run ball.
- This is his third multi-hit game of the year. He also logged a season-high three RBIs.
- The Blue Hose drew eight walks as a team, their second most in a game this season.
- Tristian McGregor threw a scoreless ninth inning for PC, striking out two.
- Presbyterian's five runs in the first inning are the team's most runs scored in the first this year.
