BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Presbyterian College baseball team (5-24, 2-4 Big South) dropped its series finale at Samford on Sunday afternoon (March 29), falling to the Bulldogs 5-0 at Joe Lee Griffin Field.

The Blue Hose were shut out for the first time this season, tallying five hits. Samford poured in three runs in the seventh to come away with the non-conference series victory.

- Tristan McGregor started strong on the mound for Presbyterian, holding the Bulldogs scoreless for the first two innings of the afternoon.Â
- Samford scored the game's first run in the bottom of the third, stringing together three hits to plate a run.
- The Bulldogs added to their lead in their next chance to bat, homering to right center.
- Robbie Boykin entered the game in relief in the fifth inning and delivered, keeping the deficit to just two.
- However, Samford struck again in the seventh, separating from the Blue Hose with a two-run home run to center field. The Bulldogs plated three in the frame to take a 5-0 lead.
- No more runs came across the rest of the way, as Samford clinched the series with a 5-0 victory.

- Tristan McGregor made his sixth start of the year, throwing 4.0 innings. He allowed just two runs and struck out two.
