KENNESAW, Ga. – In their first appearance outside of Bailey Memorial Stadium since the season-opener 24 days ago, the Presbyterian College lacrosse team was felled by Kennesaw State in a 13-6 final tally on Wednesday night.
The Blue Hose played from behind for the bulk of the evening, held scoreless until the 24
th minute and managing just two first-half goals.
Kennesaw State was able to double-up PC in total shots (30-15) in what was their fifth consecutive contest against a Big South member, with Presby getting six scores from five different players.
This was the first of a three-game road swing for the Scotsmen, who will now set their sights on Delaware State this weekend. Opening draw against the Hornets is scheduled for 6:00 on Saturday as PC aims to win their ninth straight in that non-conference series.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Alyssa Perez was able to give Presbyterian their first point of the day midway through the 2
nd quarter, and she connected again after halftime for her team-leading 12
th goal.
- Defense dominated the opening chapter, as the score displayed only 1-0 KSU with a full period in the books. That lead grew to 6-2 for the Owls after 30 minutes, with junior
Emma Claire Mills offering up her first goal of the year before the break.
- Kennesaw was marginally better than the Blue Hose in the next two quarters (7-4), as PC obtained one score apiece from
Emily Currie,
Kaylie Rittmueller, and freshman
Perri Mixon.
- The home side was able to reach the victory after winning 18 of 21 draw controls and forcing Presbyterian into 23 turnovers.
- Entering the game as the Big South leader in total points, Wednesday was the first time in 2026 that sophomore attacker
Kate Dominick was held without a goal. She did, however, reach an assist in the 2
nd stanza.

Kayleigh Aitken played the first 35 minutes at the keeper's spot before
Morgan Thompson finished out the game, collecting 11 saves and six ground balls between them.

Sydney Howard has now seen three assists in the span of four days, dishing out two helpers against KSU next to a pair of ground balls.
