CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose (9-6, BSC: 0-2) won the doubles point, and singles matches on courts two and three, but the Blue Hose came up short in a 4-3 setback to the Longwood Lancers (9-5, Big South: 2-1), on the Templeton Tennis Courts.
DOUBLES
Presbyterian captured the doubles point for the ninth time this season with wins on courts three and one. The doubles tandem of
Thomas Anderson and
Eduardo Valentin tallied a 6-3 win on court three. Presbyterian's doubles duo of
David Mamalat and
Matija Samardzic clinched the doubles point for the Blue Hose with a 6-3 win at number one doubles. Presbyterian's number two doubles team of
Dario Navarro and
Daksh Prasad was leading their match, 5-2, before the match was stopped since the Blue Hose clinched the doubles point.
SINGLES
Longwood won four singles matches to claim the victory. Longwood took a 3-1 lead with wins on courts six, five, and one. Samardzic collected his 11
th win of the season with a 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 win at number two singles. Presbyterian tied the match at three when Prasad recorded his 10
th win of the season with a 7-6, 7-6 win on court three. Longwood won the match with a three-set win at number four singles.
