CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College baseball team (6-26, 2-6 Big South) suffered a 13-12 defeat in 10 innings on Friday afternoon (April 3) to Charleston Southern at Nielsen Field.
The Blue Hose hit three home runs to take a late 12-5 lead, but the Buccaneers scored eight unanswered in the ninth and tenth innings to claim game two of this weekend's three-game set in Charleston.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Buccaneers started the high-scoring affair with a home run in the second inning to get on the board first.
- Matthew Rollison answered with a two-run home run of his own in the top of the third, bringing home Bo Moody to put PC ahead 2-1.
- Charleston Southern tied the game with a single in the bottom half of the frame before taking the lead in the fourth. The Buccaneers poured in three runs on three hits to grab a 5-2 advantage.
- Just like in the third, PC responded right back. Emory Guilford brought in two runs on an RBI single, scoring Moody and James Green. Nick Smith followed right after with an RBI base knock, plating Rollison to knot the game up at five.
- Guilford continued his excellent day at the plate in the seventh, launching a two-run home run to right center field to break the tie.
- Rollison kept the momentum going in the eighth, doubling down the right field line to score two more runs to give PC a 9-5 advantage over the Buccaneers.
- Amman Dewberry got in on the action as well in the ninth, crushing a three-run home run to put the Blue Hose on top 12-5 heading into the bottom of the ninth.
- However, Charleston Southern overcame the deficit in its final chance to bat, scoring seven runs to tie the game. The Buccaneers scored three runs before Gavin Speirs tied the game with a grand slam to right field.
- The Buccaneers completed the comeback in the tenth, bringing in the final run of the game on a walk to secure the victory.

- The Blue Hose had their best offensive output of the season, scoring a season-high 12 runs. PC had 14 hits for the day, its second most of the year.
- Matthew Rollison was dominant at the plate, going 4-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs. This is his second four-hit game of the year.Â
- Rollison's four RBIs tie his season-high. He has eight RBIs in his last three games.
- Emory Guilford also had four RBIs on the day for the Blue Hose, racking up three hits. He homered, scored two runs, and drew a walk.
- This is Guilford's third three-hit game of 2026. He also extended his hit streak to 13 games.
- Nick Smith and Cam Mallo both posted two hits apiece for the Presbyterian offense. Smith hit his first double of the season in the ninth inning.
- Bo Moody walked in the third inning to extend his on-base streak to 17 games.
- The Blue Hose homered three times against the Buccaneers, tying their season-high.
- Amman Dewberry and Guilford both logged their fifth home runs of the year. Rollison hit his third.

- Jeremiah Hampton matched his career-high with three innings pitched out of the bullpen. He allowed just three hits and one run.
- Robbie Boykin pitched two scoreless innings in relief, striking out one.
