CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team (7-12, 1-2 Big South) will play its final match of the regular season on Wednesday morning (April 8), facing UNC Asheville on the road at 11:30 a.m. in Big South action.

BLUE HOSE NOTES
- Presbyterian played its final two home matches of the season last week, finishing 1-1. The Blue Hose dropped a conference match to Longwood on Thursday before coming away with an emphatic 4-1 victory over Norfolk State on Friday.
- Mary Ellen Longmire delivered two outstanding singles performances on court six, dropping just a total of four games.
- Roxy Valdes also had a productive week for PC, winning three of her four matches, including both of her doubles matches.
- Ladina Bruhin leads Presbyterian in singles this season. She leads the team in wins with eight with five of them coming on the top court. Grace Katzman and Longmire are second on the team with seven singles victories apiece.
- Katzman and Longmire power the Blue Hose in doubles this year. They have an impressive 9-3 record as one of the best doubles teams in the Big South. They have won eight of their nine matches on court two.
- Bruhin and Valdes are second on the team, right behind Katzman and Longmire with an 8-5 record (5-1 on court three).
A CLOSER LOOK AT THE BLUE HOSE
The Blue Hose return four from last season to this year's squad. McKenzie Davis, Mary Ellen Longmire, Sofia Rodrigo Hidalgo, and Elle Sceney are all back for Presbyterian. Five newcomers join PC this season as well. Katherine Bauer, Ladina Bruhin, Luciana Parrilli, and Roxy Valdes highlight the Blue Hose freshmen class. Finally, sophomore transfer Grace Katzman comes to the Blue Hose from North Greenville University.
FALL BIG SOUTH DOUBLES CHAMPIONS
McKenzie Davis and Ladina Bruhin won the second-ever edition of the Big South Fall Doubles Championship as the No. 3 seed in October. The pair picked up three wins in the tournament to claim the title, clinching the championship with an 8-4 win in the final over the No. 5 seed Marina Skegro and Carlota Farres of Charleston Southern. The duo earned automatic entry into the ITA Conference Masters Championships in San Diego by way of their victory, where they reached the round of 16.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
- UNC Asheville leads the all-time series with Presbyterian, holding a 15-5 record. The Bulldogs have won five straight in the series. PC's last victory over the Bulldogs came in 2021.
- The Bulldogs come into Wednesday's match with an 11-6 overall and a perfect 2-0 conference mark. UNC Asheville has won three straight, picking up wins over Longwood, Campbell, and Queens.
- Head coach Jeff Maren is in his first season as the leader of the UNC Asheville women's tennis program.
