CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College baseball team (11-41, 7-14 Big South) wrapped up its three-game series against USC Upstate on Sunday afternoon (May 10), falling 13-4 at the PC Baseball Complex.

The Spartans jumped ahead early with a five-run second inning and never trailed. Bo Moody led the way for the Blue Hose offensively, posting two hits.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The USC Upstate bats got going in the second inning, plating five runs to separate early from the Blue Hose. The Spartans scored on a sacrifice fly RBI and an RBI groundout before hitting a three-run home run to right field.
- The Spartans added to their lead in the third with another run before the Blue Hose got on the board in the bottom of the frame.
- Bo Moody singled through the right side and advanced to third base on a fielding error by the right fielder. Emory Guilford came all the way around from first base to score PC's first run of the day. James Green stepped up to the plate next and singled home Moody, cutting the deficit to 6-2.
- However, the Spartans turned around and retook the momentum, scoring two runs in the fourth and one more in the fifth to build a 9-2 advantage.
- Emory Guilford got PC back into the scoring column in the sixth, launching a solo home run to right field.
- Presbyterian tallied one more run on a Brody Linker sacrifice fly RBI in the bottom of the eighth, but USC Upstate was too much offensively, plating four more runs in the latter innings to pick up a 13-4 win.
