CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College baseball team (11-42, 7-14 Big South) played its final home game of the season on Tuesday night (May 12), suffering a 14-3 defeat to Western Carolina in seven innings at the PC Baseball Complex.

Andrew Albertus paced the Blue Hose offensively, going 1-for-2 with two runs scored. Bo Moody and Jayden Adams also posted hits for Presbyterian.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Domaine Vann started on the mound for PC, retiring Western Carolina in order to begin the night.
- The Catamounts bounced back quickly in the second, using a grand slam to help plate five runs to jump out to a big lead over the Blue Hose.
- The Western Carolina offense stayed busy in the third and fourth innings, tallying six more runs. The Catamounts brought in two runs on three hits in the third before exploding for four more in the next frame.
- Emory Guilford got Presbyterian on the board in the bottom of the fourth, bringing around Andrew Albertus to score on a sacrifice fly RBI.
- Three final runs came around to score for Western Carolina in the sixth. The Blue Hose scored their final two runs of the night in the bottom of the frame. Aidan Taylor brought in Connor Bradley on an RBI groundout.
- Jayden Adams plated the final run of the game, singling to right center to score Albertus. The Catamounts closed out the proceedings in the seventh to pick up a 14-3 win.

- Domaine Vann made his first collegiate start on the mound for Presbyterian, pitching two innings. He recorded two strikeouts.
- Andrew Albertus led the way for Presbyterian, going 1-for-2 with two runs scored. This is his third game of the season with at least two runs scored.
- Jayden Adams logged the first RBI of his collegiate career in the sixth inning.
- Connor Bradley scored his first run of the season and the second of his PC career.
- Emory Guilford posted his team-leading 35th RBI of the year.
- Bo Moody, Amman Dewberry, and Bradley all reached base by way of a hit-by-pitch.
- Four different Blue Hose pitchers appeared in the contest. Braiden Eagen closed out the game for PC, pitching the final two innings. He struck out three while allowing no earned runs.
