CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College baseball team (10-38, 6-12) played two games on Sunday afternoon (May 3) against The Citadel at the PC Baseball Complex, dropping both contests by a combined four runs to wrap up the weekend.
Saturday's game in Charleston was postponed due to weather and was made up as a part of Sunday's doubleheader.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One
- Both starting pitchers dominated on the mound to start the afternoon. After a leadoff single by The Citadel to start the game, Christain Charalambous settled in, retiring eight straight batters.
- Charalambous faced some trouble in the third but finished the frame with a strikeout, stranding two runners.
- The Bulldogs were also in control on the mound, holding Presbyterian scoreless through the first four innings of play.
- The Citadel scored the game's first run in the top of the fifth inning on a throwing error.
- The Bulldogs added two timely insurance runs in the top of the seventh, using back-to-back RBI singles to take a 3-0 lead.
- PC had its chances down the stretch with two runners on base in the bottom of the sixth. However, the Blue Hose were unable to capitalize in either the sixth or the seventh, dropping the first game of the afternoon 3-0.

Game Two
- The second game of the afternoon was also a pitcher's duel between the two teams.
- The Citadel struck first to start the game, plating a run in the opening frame on a throwing error.
- The Bulldogs tallied another run in the top of the second on a fielder's choice but were held in check the rest of the way.
- The Presbyterian bullpen was terrific, holding The Citadel scoreless the rest of the game. The Bulldogs were only able to muster one hit in the contest.
- However, The Citadel also had a great day on the mound, maintaining its two-run lead until the bottom of the sixth.
- Emory Guilford got the Blue Hose on the board in the sixth, singling through the right side to score James Green and cutting the deficit to just one.
- Mason McDaniel worked around a leadoff single and a walk in the top of the seventh to keep the game a one-run contest, but The Citadel retired PC in order in the bottom of the frame to come away with a 2-1 victory.

GAME ONE NOTABLES
- Christian Charalambous delivered an outstanding start for the Blue Hose, tossing four scoreless innings. He allowed just two hits while striking out three.
- Eli Bowery entered the game in the fifth inning, throwing 1.2 innings. He struck out two and did not allow any hits.
- Jeremiah Hampton pitched the rest of the way for Presbyterian, tossing 1.1 innings.
- James Green posted the lone hit of the game for PC in the bottom of the sixth. He also drew a walk in the first inning.
- Green stole his 13th base of the year in the first inning.

GAME TWOÂ NOTABLES
- Four different Blue Hose pitchers made appearances on the mound. Presbyterian allowed a season-low one hit to The Citadel.
- Tristan McGregor started on the mound, exiting the game after getting the opening two outs of the game. JJ Harrell was excellent out of the bullpen, tossing 2.1 innings of no-hit baseball.
- Cole Morgan followed in relief, throwing a scoreless two innings. He also allowed no hits. This was Morgan's fifth pitching appearance of the year and his first since April 14.
- Mason McDaniel threw the final two innings of the day for Presbyterian, limiting the Bulldogs to just one hit.
- James Green once again led the way for the Presbyterian offense, going 2-for-3. This is his 11th multi-hit game of the year.
- Emory Guilford also tallied two hits to go along with an RBI. This is his 13th multi-hit performance this season.
- Green and Bo Moody both recorded a stolen base for PC.
