Marcello Coleman Voted Preseason All-PFL

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Just under one month away from the start of a new era at Presbyterian College on the gridiron, the Pioneer Football League announced that their annual preseason all-conference team includes redshirt-junior offensive lineman Marcello Coleman.

A product of Jacksonville, Florida, Coleman started 11 games at right guard last year and helped the Blue Hose to a historic 10-win campaign that included a 7-0 start and a ranking as high as #16 in the AFCA poll.

His position coach for the past two years, Matt Rahl, was elevated to the title of Head Coach back in December. PC begins the 2026 trek on Thursday, August 27 against UVA Wise at Bailey Memorial Stadium.

Coleman All-PFL

Coleman Clears the Path

- Presbyterian accomplished a boatload of program records in 2025 with Rahl directing the offensive line and Coleman creating holes for a unit that eclipsed 5,000 total yards. He was subsequently named All-PFL Honorable Mention at the close of the season.

- The Scotsmen scored 413 total points, rushed for 2,124 yards, averaged six yards per snap, and calculated 26 rushing touchdowns. Each of those numbers are the most that PC has produced in a sole season since turning Division I in the late 2000's.

- Coleman and the rest of Presby's O-line allowed just 1.5 sacks per game, good enough to rank inside the nation's top 30. The Blue Hose surpassed 400 yards of total offense seven times, averaging 464 during the seven-game win streak.

- PC stacked up 76 points in a non-conference victory over Bluefield, the second-most over a single contest in the two decades that they've been competing at the D-I level.

- Coleman helped his squad rush for nearly 800 yards in a three-game stretch: the aforementioned Bluefield blowout and other one-sided efforts versus Morehead State and Stetson.

- Presby never lost at home in six attempts last year, going into a fresh season with eight consecutive wins at Bailey Memorial Stadium. That's their longest streak of home victories since 1980, and two shy of tying the all-time PC record.
