CLINTON, S.C. – Preseason watch lists continue to roll out for the Presbyterian College football team, as Phil Steele magazine uncovered their 2026 all-conference list that features four PC players overall.

Incoming senior offensive lineman Marcello Coleman (voted All-PFL by the league itself last week) was chosen by Phil Steele as a preseason first-teamer. Behind him are two fellow seniors Jalen Patrick (WR) and Noah Taylor (DB) on the third-team unit, along with another defensive back Ryan Largin.

The Blue Hose will officially begin the 2026 season in less than a month, hosting UVA Wise on Thursday, August 27 at Bailey Memorial Stadium.

All eyes will be on first-year head coach Matt Rahl, who was promoted in December after directing the PC offensive line to 16 combined wins over the previous two seasons.


 
MARCELLO COLEMAN
First Team | OL | Sr. | Jacksonville, Fla.




 
- One of the more underrated players on a team that won 10 games for the third time in school history, Coleman made 11 starts at right guard last year and helped PC break new D-I-era records with 413 points scored, 2,124 rushing yards, 26 rushing touchdowns, and averaging 177 rushing yards per game.

- The Blue Hose surpassed 400 total yards against seven opponents in 2025, going 6-0 at home for the first time in nearly three decades and allowing just 1.5 sacks per game (inside the NCAA top 30).

- Presbyterian collected 39 touchdowns altogether during a seven-game winning streak to begin the campaign, averaging 464 total yards during that stretch and reaching as high as #16 in the AFCA Coaches Poll.


 
JALEN PATRICK
Third Team | WR | Sr. | Hephzibah, Ga.




 
- In a crowded receiver room last fall, Patrick logged 16 receptions for 214 yards including his first career touchdown from 22 yards away in a blowout over Bluefield.

- He caught five passes for 69 yards during another one-sided affair over Stetson, the last of the seven-game winning streak in front of a 7,000-plus capacity crowd.

- Patrick (who has also thrown a touchdown pass out of the wildcat formation earlier in his career) grabbed a season-long 41-yard reception during a visit to Dayton.


 
RYAN LARGIN
Third Team | DB | Jr. | Murrells Inlet, S.C.




 
- On a defense that gave up just 16 points per game (the third-smallest number of any FCS program), Largin made 22 tackles out of the secondary while appearing in every contest.

- He batted down three passes on the season, the first of which came against #11 Mercer as PC pulled off its biggest upset in school history which also stopped a 35-game Pioneer League losing streak against non-conference top-25 opponents.

- Largin set a new personal-best with five tackles in a Bailey Memorial route over Valparaiso, helping the Scotsmen go into this fresh season with an eight-game home winning streak.


 
NOAH TAYLOR

- Opposing quarterbacks held a combined 106 efficiency rating against the Presbyterian defense, good enough to rank fourth nationally. In his first season at PC after spending two years at Fresno City College, Taylor grabbed 18 tackles and registered four pass breakups.

- Half of his tackles occurred in the final three games of the season, including a TFL against St. Thomas on a day where PC limited one of the best offenses in the league to fewer than 200 total yards and zero points.

- Taylor deflected two passes in the PFL opener, a 41-0 decimation over Morehead State which was the team's first shutout in a conference game since 2006. Overall, Presby's foes converted just 30 percent of their third-down opportunities, which ranked second in America.
