Biography

Prep: As a senior, Young averaged 11.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game…Comes from a basketball family…Father, Charlton Young, is the associate head coach with the University of Miami men’s basketball program. His father was the head coach at Georgia Southern for four years, and he has been a member of the coaching staffs at Missouri, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Auburn, Jacksonville, Northeastern, and Chattanooga in a 30-year coaching career…Mother, Carolyn, was a two-time All-American and the 1991 SEC Player of the Year who led Auburn to two Final Fours. She also earned a bronze medal playing for the United States in the 1992 Olympics…Sisters played college basketball: Ariel at North Carolina and Audia at Xavier.
