Monday and will enroll with the rest of her class in the fall. She is joined by previous signees; Karlee
Taylor (Asheville, N.C.), Akysia Resper (Harrisburg, N.C.), Sherice Smith
(Clemson, S.C.) and Megan Schaaf (Elicott City, Md.).
The guard
averaged 10 points per game last season at Mt. Lebanon en route to the school's
second consecutive Pennsylvania Class 3-A state title. The Blue Devils also finished the season ranked
seventh in the final 2010 USA Today High School Girl's Basketball Poll. Apke earned her league's Defensive Player of
the Year award to go with her all-section
4-AAA selection.
"Chelsea
played on one of the top teams in the country for Coach Dori Oldaker at Mt.
Lebanon High School in Pennsylvania," said head coach Ronny Fisher. "Chelsea is a competitor who understands the
game and does all of the little things that it takes to win. I love her toughness and we are excited that
she will be joining our program at Presbyterian College."
