exceptional play in the offensive portion of the field.
Dulaney put the Blue Hose in front just 1:09 into the game as she split the
defense by herself before rocketing a shot past the keeper for a 1-0 lead. Just
over a minute later, Shannon Hartford took a pass from Dulaney and fired home a
goal for a 2-0 advantage. |
Dulaney tallied her third point of the day off a pass from Handshoe at 24:38.
Seventeen seconds later, Marie-Lisette Dimitrew was on the receiving end of a
pass from Kristin Stenoien for a 4-0 margin.

PC's defense stepped up the rest of the first stanza, not allowing another
goal.
PC reeled off six more goals in the half, all of which came from different

Handshoe and Prisco all notched goals in the final 19:25 of the first period.
Prisco, Branson, Handshoe, Dulaney and Stenoien all had assists during the 6-0
run.
The Blue Hose came out of the break on fire, netting six straight goals to
start the half. Newberry took a pass from Laura Meade less than a minute into
the final stanza and promptly put the home team up 10, 11-1. Dulaney and
Lefeber posted back-to-back unassisted scores over the next two minutes.
With 26:21 to go, Prisco found Rachel Deighan for a score and a 14-1 advantage.

another score and a 16-1 lead with 20:37 to go.
The Flames got on the board in the second half with a score from Crowley at
16:25. Just a moment before, the visitors had a 2-on-1 break that was thwarted
by the stellar play by Jill Parker. With the defender getting ready to swing
the ball to the wing, Parker stepped in front of the ball and knocked it down
with her stick, starting the break for PC.
The Blue Hose picked up 50 ground balls on the day and won 14 draw controls.
The Blue Hose return to action next Saturday at 1 p.m. when they play host to
Jacksonville in the regular season finale at 1 p.m. The contest is Senior Day.
