CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College women's lacrosse team has been
slated to play Detroit in a first-round game of the National Lacrosse
Conference Tournament, which starts Friday in Farmville, Va., and is hosted by
Longwood.
The Blue Hose (3-12, 2-4) will take on the Titans (6-10, 3-3) in the last
contest of the day, which will start at 4 p.m. Earlier this season, PC dropped
an 18-10 contest to Detroit. However, the Blue Hose are much improved since
then.
The Blue Hose have come alive the last two games, both of which have come
against NLC foes. PC doused the Flames of Liberty by a 17-3 score on Apr. 17. A
week later, head coach Kristina Llanes' team lost a 20-19 nail-biter to
Jacksonville on a last second goal. The Dolphins, who are also in the NLC, knocked
off Detroit 15-13 on Feb. 27.
PC finished the regular season with a league-best 84 assists. The squad was
second in saves (225), ground balls (379) and caused turnovers (164) and third
for shots on goal (302).
Individually, Brittni Dulaney was second in assists (19).
