ORLANDO, FLA. - The Presbyterian College men's tennis team
defeated Michigan Tech on Sunday, in their last match in Orlando, by a score of
5-4. The Blue Hose advance to 9-6 on the
year with the win.
Michigan Tech earned two points to start the match by
winning the one and two spots in doubles play.
Nathan Crocker (Clinton, S.C.) and Ivan Ho (Hong Kong, China) won at
number three doubles 8-1 to get a point for PC.
In singles play, the Blue Hose edged Michigan Tech by
winning four of the six singles spots.
Andrew Brigham (Sutton, Birmingham) won at number two 1-6, 6-4, 6-3 and
Ryan Walters earned a 6-0, 6-4 victory at the number six spot. Crocker and Ho also won at the four and five
spots to give PC the 5-4 match win.
The Blue Hose return to action on Wednesday, March 9 when
they travel to UNC Charlotte for a 2 p.m. match-up.
