Karlee Taylor (Asheville, N.C.) led PC with 13 points on the night, knocking down three three-pointers. Mariah Pietrowski (Elizabethton, Tenn.) and Shonda Burnside (Gray Court, S.C.) led the Blue Hose on the glass, each grabbing seven rebounds. Burnside also matched a season-high with three blocks.

Campbell's Tonisha Baker led all scorers with 18 points.

PC opened the second half with a jumper by Chelsea Parker (Asheville, N.C.) but it was all Campbell after that as the Lady Camels used a 15-4 run to take a three-point 31-28 lead with 12:49 on the clock.

The Blue Hose, led by four from Burnside, scored the game's next six of seven points to lead by two, 34-32, with 7:58 remaining.  Tonisha Baker hit a three to give the Lady Camels the lead again 35-34 at 6:53, but it was answered 30 seconds later with a three by Kristen Stevens (Pickerington, Ohio) to put PC back up, 37-35.

The Lady Camels took over down the stretch, however, responding with a 15-2 run over the next six minutes to take a 50-39 lead with 27 seconds remaining. PC scored five more but Campbell added three to leave Clinton with the win, 53-44.

Turnovers plagued both teams in the first half with PC posting 13 and Campbell totaling 10.  The Blue Hose scored 13 of their 22 first half points off the Lady Camel turnovers, with Campbell coming away with eight off the PC losses.

PC led early in the first half, 9-4, with 13:32 left, before the Lady Camels outscored the Blue Hose 10-3 over the next nine minutes, highlighted by six points from Baker. The run helped Campbell take their first lead of the game, 14-12, with 4:35 on the clock.

The Blue Hose answered with a 10-2 first half ending run, sparked by a three-pointer at 3:07 by Taylor, to retake the lead and extend it to a six-point, 22-16 margin at intermission.
