KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - The Presbyterian College men's golf team finished the second day of the Wendy's Kiawah Classic, hosted by Charleston Southern, in ninth place with a cumulative score of 604 (299, 305). Sophomore Samuel Jackson and freshman Davis Parker are tied for 20th to lead the Blue Hose.
Jackson (Pelion, S.C.) and Parker (Augusta, Ga.) both moved up during the second day at the par-71 Turtle Point course. Jackson shot 147 (75, 72) while Parker carded 147 (74, 73).
Junior Carter Davis (Spartanburg, S.C.) is tied for 55th after back-to-back rounds of 77. Classmate Colt Crymes (Athens, Ga.) fell back into a tie for 78th with a two-day score of 157 (74, 83). Senior Matt Sizemore (Richmond, Va.) shot 161 (76, 85) to tie for 104th.
Stetson's Dustin Dingus shot 141 (72, 69) to take a one-stroke lead over a trio of golfers at 142.
The University of South Carolina holds a seven-stroke lead over the College of Charleston in the team standings. The Gamecocks have a cumulative score of 575 (282, 293) while the Cougars shot 582 (290, 292).
