Emily Kookogey scored five goals, while two others added four each to lead the Bucknell women's lacrosse team to the 21-8 win over Presbyterian College this afternoon in Lewisburg, Pa.

The Blue Hose gall to 1-3, while the Bison improve to 1-5

PC leapt to a 2-0 lead, potting two goals in the first 2:21. Katie Prisco put PC on the board 1:45 after the opening draw and Lauren Lefeber cashed in less than a minute later.

Bucknell tied the game twice but PC re-took the lead both times on scores from Kirstin Stenoien and Prisco. Jaime Beamish assisted on Prisco's goal that put PC up by one, 4-3.

The Bison then rattled off five straight goals to lead 8-4 with 12:21 before the halftime break. Lefeber answered for the Blue Hose with her second goal of the day, but the Bison scored four more to take a 12-5 lead into the locker room.

Bucknell opened the second half with back-to-back goals to lead 14-5 before Stenoien hit her second goal, this one unassisted at the 27:09 mark.  The Bison answered with six unanswered, which included two by Emily Kookogey who had a team-leading five goals in the game, and led 20-6 with 7:57 left.

Lefeber, who led PC with three goals, scored her last at 6:15 to make it a 20-7 game. 

Bucknell scored for the final time at 4:49, with the final goal of the contest coming with just 13 seconds remaining, as Samantha MacCurdy hit her shot past the goalie off a Kelsey Rupsch assist to make it a 21-8 final in favor of the Bison.

Following Kookoogey and her five goals was Madison Hurwitz and Katelyn Miller with four apiece for the Bison.  Stenoien and Prisco were just behind Lefeber's three goals, with two each on the afternoon.

Bucknell out-shot PC, 37-11, and held a 22-16 edge in draw controls.  The Blue Hose had 30 turnovers, compared to 22 for the Bison.  PC caused 10 turnovers, while Bucknell had 13.

The Blue Hose stay in Pennsylvania for a Wednesday matchup against St. Joseph's in Philadelphia. The opening draw is slated for 1 p.m.
