DAVIDSON, N.C. - Presbyterian College women's lacrosse midfielder Jaime Beamish (Memphis, Tenn.) earned National Lacrosse Conference All-Tournament Team honors, the league announced on Sunday.
The honor marks the first All-Tournament Team selection for Beamish. Beamish played all over the field in PC's two games at the NLC Tournament, collecting an assist, four ground balls, six draw controls and two caused turnovers.
The sophomore led the Blue Hose in draw controls on Friday against Jacksonville and Saturday against Liberty, with three each. Beamish assisted on PC's third goal in its season-ending win over the Flames, 18-12. Her two caused turnovers also tied for the team lead over the tournament.
Beamish finished the season as the team's leader in assists (13), caused turnovers (11) and ground balls (38), posting 10 goals and 30 draw controls as well.
The NLC season concluded as Jacksonville topped High Point in Sunday's championship game, 19-6.
The Big South Conference will begin sponsoring women's lacrosse in 2012-13, with PC's squad joining the other 14 Blue Hose programs.
