CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College lacrosse team dropped a non-conference match to Bucknell on Tuesday afternoon, 20-7.

Kelsey Rupsch (Libertyville, Ill.) and Catherine Ellis (Charlotte, N.C.) each scored two goals on the afternoon and five different Blue Hose found the back of the net. Mary Honan (Old Bridge, N.J.) caused a game-high four caused turnovers while Melinda Vasconcellos (Waxhaw, N.C.) controlled three draws.

Goalkeeper Bridget Hogan (Waxhaw, N.C.) made six saves and led PC with four ground balls.

Katelyn Miller led Bucknell with six goals.

PC converted 18 of its total 20 clear attempts on the day and went 11-for-11 in the first half.

Bucknell began the scoring on a Ryan Wenk goal 1:02 after the opening draw, but the Blue Hose had an answer in Rupsch. The junior beat goalkeeper Caroline O'Neill from the free position to put PC on the board early, 1-1.

The Bison posted three straight goals before the Blue Hose tallied two of their own. Brianne Ward (Cincinnati, Ohio) converted a Vasconcellos feed 1:39 before Liz Davis (Alpharetta, Ga.) scored her second of the season to pull within one, 4-3.

Maddie Seiloff (Marietta, Ga.) took a Jaime Beamish (Memphis, Tenn.) pass and scored following a Bucknell goal to keep PC close, 5-4.

Four goals from Bucknell gave the visitors a five-goal lead before Ellis broke through on her first of the day at 9:25. The Bison then took a 12-5 advantage into halftime.

Rupsch repeated her feat from the first half to start the second, scoring 1:50 into the period from the free position.

After two Bucknell goals, Ellis potted her 14th goal of the season with the help of Lauren Lefeber's (Waxhaw, N.C.) first assist of the year.

The Bison would round out the scoring from there, winning 20-7.
