Blue Hose Hang Out at Greenville Children's Hospital

The Presbyterian College softball team kicked off its season of community service recently with a trip to the  Greenville Children's Hospital.  They spent the afternoon doing arts and crafts and visiting the children there. It was an awesome experience and one the players will remember for a long time.

"Having the opportunity to visit the Children's hospital with the team was a great and humbling experience," said Freshman Jenna Harris.  "It was fun to just hang out with kids and try to brighten their day a little and put a smile on their face. Visiting the hospital really helps us appreciate how blessed and fortunate we are to be able to play the game of softball. The children are motivation to me and this experience will serve as a reminder to keep working hard and persevering to handle adversity not only in a game but also in life."

The Children's Hospital of Greenville Health System (GHS) is located in Upstate South Carolina.  Its Board-certified physicians care for more than 330,000 infants, children, and adolescents each year.  From primary care to specialty care, they are dedicated to providing outstanding medical care for every child.  They are committed to serving not only the patients well-being, but the well being of their families.  Physicians, nurses, therapists and other clinicians approach patient care through the eyes of a child.  From pediatric sized medical equipment to patient room decor, innovative care is delivered in a child friendly environment.
