CLINTON, S.C. – Bryant scored the first 12 goals of the game on the way to an 18-4 victory over the Presbyterian College women's lacrosse team Tuesday at Martin Stadium. Four different PC players scored in the game.
The Blue Hose fell to 2-6 on the season, while the Bulldogs improved to 4-3 on the year. PC starts conference play against Longwood at 1 p.m. March 26 in Farmville, Va.
Alexandra Cole (Duluth, Ga.), Jess Goergen (Fayetteville, Ga.), Lauren Schaaf (Ellicott City, Md.) and Cassie Watters (Chapel Hill, N.C.) all scored in the game. Megan Dreyer (Kennesaw, Ga.) provided two assists, while Cady Roberts (The Woodlands, Texas) dished one.
Four Bryant players produced two goals, while Nicole Britton added two assists.
The Bulldogs score the first 12 goals of the game before Watters netted the Blue Hose first goal with an assist from Roberts. Bryant took a 13-1 lead into halftime.
PC started the season half with a goal from Schaaf and was assisted by Dreyer. Cole then netted a free position goal and cut the Bulldogs lead to 14-3. Bryant scored three straight before Goergen scored on a pass from Dreyer.
Sophia Cuzzupe (Newtown Square, Pa.) and Lee-Ann Salim (East Islip, N.Y.) split time in goal and both made three saves.
The Blue Hose took 15 shots and put 12 on frame during the match.
