CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's lacrosse team fell to High Point, 17-3, Saturday at Martin Stadium.
The Blue Hose feel to 2-9, 0-3 in the Big South Conference, while the Panthers improved to 7-4, 3-0 on the season.
Claire Frase (Fort Mill, S.C.), Cady Roberts (The Woodlands, Texas) and Lauren Schaaf (Ellicott City, Md.) all scored for PC in the game. Maura Talvacchia (Moorestown, N.J.) caused five turnovers, while Roberts caused four.
Allie Foard led all scorers with five goals, while Emily Meier provided three assists and added two goals for High Point.
Frase put the Blue Hose on the scoreboard with 2:02 left in the first half on a free position shot, her 11th goal of the year.
PC netted back-to-back goals in the second half. Schaaf found the back of the net for her team-leading 21st goal on a free position shot seven minutes into the second half. Roberts followed that up with her 12th goal of the year with 20 minutes left in the game.
Sophia Cuzzupe (Newtown Square, Pa.) and Lee-Ann Salim (East Islip, N.Y.) split time in goal, while Salim collected three saves.
The Blue Hose took eight shots in the game and put all eight on frame.
