Clinton, S.C. – With 20:55 to play in the opening half and a 4-2 score the Fresno State Bulldogs went on a 4-0 run to make it an 8-2 game. The Blue Hose failed to get closer than five the rest of the way and Fresno State won 20-10 on Monday afternoon at Bailey Memorial Stadium. Natalie Barnett and Kelly Hyman led the way with career days scoring three goals apiece to lead the Blue Hose.
Player of the Game
Lauren Schaaf finished the day with the most points as she had one goal and a career high tying three assists for four total points. Barnett and Hyman with three points apiece on their three goals and Ana Boothe also finished with a career high three points on two goals and one assist.
Stat of the Game
Fresno State finished with a 22-9 advantage in draw controls including a 16-3 advantage in the decisive first half as the Bulldogs built their 14-4 halftime lead. In the second half when the scored finished 6-6 the draw controls were also 6-6.
Game Story
Fresno State jumped out to a 3-0 lead less than two minutes into the game. PC scored next cutting the score to 3-1 on Claire Frase's goal and then 4-2 on Hyman's first of three goals for the day. Following the first goal of the afternoon for Boothe the Blue Hose made it 8-3 but then the Bulldogs wound off six straight making it 14-3. Hyman scored her second goals right before half making it 14-4.
PC battled the Bulldogs to a 6-6 tie in the second half of competition. Boothe scored her second goal of the afternoon to open up the half and cut the Fresno State lead to 14-5 less than a minute into the half. The rest of the half went back and forth with each team scoring two goals in a row and followed by the opposition scoring two in a row. Hyman and Barnett scored their final two goals of the afternoon to make it 19-10 with 2:26 remaining and then Fresno State scored the final goal with 13 seconds left making it 20-10.

Presbyterian moves to 2-8 on the season while Fresno State moves to 7-4.
