Radford, Va. - The Radford Highlanders used an 8-0 run over the final 12 minutes of the first half and turned a 5-2 lead into a 13-2 lead at the end of the first half. They also scored the first three goals of the second half en route to their 21-4 win on Saturday afternoon.

Game Story
The Blue Hose got on the scoreboard at the 18:21 mark of the first half with a goal by Natalie Barnett cutting the Highlander lead to 3-1. This was goal number 16 for Barnett. Kathleen Gerrits added a second Blue Hose goals just minutes later making it 5-2 with 12:34 to play in the half, goal number 14 for her. Radford then finished the half on an 8-0 run making the score 13-2 at the intermission.
The Highlanders scored the first three goals of the second half turning that 8-0 run into an 11-0 run before Ana Boothe scored her eighth goal of the season. Lauren Schaaf added the next goal making it 16-4, goal number 11 for her to goal along with 14 assists this season. Radford ended the game on a 5-0 run to take the victory.
For the Record
The Blue Hose finish the season 2-15 and 0-7 in Big South play while Radford moves to 6-10 and 3-4 in the conference.
Notes
The Blue Hose scored four goals from four different individuals.
Boothe led in points with two as she had one goal and one assist. Also adding goals were Barnett, Gerrits and Schaaf.
Hudson Roarick led the team in ground balls with five and caused turnovers with three. Each of those numbers tied her career highs.
Breanne Goldfarb finished second with three ground balls and two caused turnovers which also tied her personal bests.
Megan Dreyer had four draw controls on the afternoon. This gave her 43 for the season which is the third most in a single season in program history.
With one goal scored this afternoon Schaaf finished her career with 81 goals. This moves her into fourth place all by herself. She is also fifth in total points with 108 and tied-seventh in assists with 27.
