Aiken, S.C. – Presbyterian College men's golfer AJ Nolin recorded an eagle, four birdies and 13 pars during the second round to climb the leaderboards to a 13th place tie at 141 (77, 64) after day one of the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate on Monday. The Blue Hose are also tied for 13th with a team score of 586 (301, 285) at the par-70 Palmetto Golf Club course (6617 yards).
The second round of 64 (-6) was a two-stroke improvement for the junior from his previous best 67 (-4) recorded in the fall at the Elon Phoenix Invitational (par-71).
Charlie Tate finished two strokes back, tied for 28th, with a score of 143 (69, 74). Cole Patterson shot 151 (79, 72), Brody Boston shot 152 (76, 76) and Weston Sanders shot 155 (80, 75) to round out the team.
South Carolina's Will Miles is in first place at 129 (-11), and the Gamecocks have a 17-stroke lead on second place with an aggregate of 537 in a field of 18 teams.
