Clinton, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's lacrosse team dropped a 25-3 game to Radford on Wednesday at Bailey Memorial Stadium.
Scoring the Game
Radford's Juliette Ruland scored an unassisted goal at 26:29 to give the visitors an early lead. Three consecutive goals from Callie Bonnel grew that lead to 4-0 at 21:37. The lead would reach eight goals with three different Highlanders recording goals.
Kelly Hyman scored her seventh of the season with an assist from Sarah Marshall at 12:29 to make it an 8-1 game. Sophie Krist scored her first of the year off another assist from Marshall to cut the lead to 8-2 at 8:23. Marshall then scored her team-leading 21st of the year at 4:31, assisted by Hyman, to make it an 8-3 game.
Radford tacked on two more goals before half to lead 10-3. The Highlanders used a 21-1 advantage in shots on goal in the second half to score 15 unanswered goals to win 25-3.
For the Record
Presbyterian College moves to 1-11 (0-2 Big South), while Radford improves to 3-7 (2-0 Big South).
Stats of the Game
Radford led in shots, 39-15, and in shots on goal, 34-7. The Highlanders controlled the draw, 22-8, and committed less turnovers 18-20. Presbyterian College forced more turnovers, 8-2, with Kara DiClemente, Paige Gacek and Heidi Shafer all forcing two apiece.
