Presbyterian Lacrosse Travels to Ohio for Pair of Games

Clinton, S.C. – The Presbyterian College lacrosse team returns to action this week with back-to-back road games. The Blue Hose square off first against Kent State on Monday at 4 pm before staying in Ohio to play at Akron on Tuesday at noon.

Scouting the opponents | Series Histories
The Golden Flashes dropped their last game at Duquesne, 22-6, on March 16. Abby Jones leads the team with 16 points (13g, 3a) this season. Rapier is right behind Jones with 14 points (12g, 2a).

The Zips lost a close game against St. Bonaventure, 13-12, on Saturday, March 20. Alexis Kiefer leads Akron with 17 points (16g, 1a) through seven games.

Last Time Out
The Blue Hose last played on February 25 when they picked up a 16-9 road-win against Wofford. PC pulled away in the second half to defeat the Terriers. Sophomore Abby Edmisten scored a collegiate-best six points to lead the Blue Hose on offense.

Notables
- Senior Sara Marshall scored twice against Wofford to extend her goal streak to 19 games and point streak to 24 games.
- Sophomore Abby Edmisten's six points (4G-2A) against Wofford bested her previous collegiate-high of four points (2G-2A) recorded against Kennesaw State (2/29) her freshman year.
-Eric Clakeley enters his second season as the head coach of the Presbyterian College lacrosse team. In his first season at the helm, the Pennsylvania native went 2-5 before the season was cut short due to COVID-19.

Captains
Two of the most experienced players in seniors Kelly Hyman and Sarah Marshall will serve as the team's captains for the 2021 season.

Schedule Changes
Presbyterian's home game against Lander has been rescheduled as a road game on April 10 at 5 pm in Greenwood.

After a pair of games in Ohio, Presbyterian will return to Bailey Memorial Stadium for their home opener against Gardner-Webb on Friday, March 26, beginning at 7 pm.
