Lacrosse Ready for Wednesday's Rematch with Winthrop

Clinton, S.C. – The Presbyterian College lacrosse team hosts Winthrop on Wednesday, April 14, in a 3 pm matchup at New Bailey Memorial Stadium. The meeting will serve as a non-conference game between the two Big South schools who played earlier this season in Rock Hill.

Scouting the opponent | Series History
Winthrop is on a three-game losing streak after dropping games to Campbell (8-5), Radford (10-9) and High Point (17-11) in the month of April. Their last win was a 9-8 victory over Kennesaw State on March 30. They also picked up a 17-10 win over Gardner-Webb on March 28.

The Eagles are led offensively by Bianca Tedesco's 38 points (15g, 23a) and McKenna Blick (21g, 4a). Defensively, Alyssa Angelo has a team-leading 15 caused turnovers on the year. Kimora Bailey has collected 53 draw controls and 18 ground balls.

Winthrop is 10-0 against PC after picking up a 19-6 win in Rock Hill on February 14. After an early back-and-forth, Winthrop pulled away runs of 9-0 and 6-0 in the season opener. Winthrop's Bianca Tedesco had eight points (1g, 7a) while Alyssa Angelo added four goals. Abby Edmisten (2g) led the Blue Hose offensively. Draw controls slightly favored the Eagles, 14-12, with Kimora Bailey collecting a game-high five and Kara DiClemente pulling down four.

Last Time Out
Presbyterian College sophomore Abby Edmisten tied PC single-game records with 10 points and nine goals in a convincing 16-7 road win over Lander. The Blue Hose pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Bearcats 9-2.

Abby Edmisten's 10 points and nine goals against Lander tied the program record set by Katy Richardson against Delaware State in 2013.
Abby Edmisten (9g, 1a) moved her season total to 38 points (32g, 6a) which is a collegiate-best for the sophomore.
Sarah Marshall's five assists were a collegiate-best and most in a game for PC since Megan Schaaf recorded seven against St. Mary's in 2014.
