CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College baseball team opened its home slate on Friday with a pair of tight defeats coming against Boston College by the score of 7-6 and to George Mason by the count of 4-2 at the PC Baseball Complex. The Blue Hose wrap up the series on Saturday with a doubleheader against Manhattan due to expected inclement weather on Sunday in the Clinton area. Game one will be nine innings followed by a seven-inning game two.

HOW IT HAPPENED vs Boston College
- Boston College got on the board first with two-run homers in the first and second innings to take an early 4-0 lead.
- The Blue Hose answered in the third with three runs as they were able to take advantage of a fielding error from the Eagles along with a sac fly to make it 4-3 BC after three.
- The guests tacked on an RBI single in the fourth to extend the lead to 5-3.
- PC gained its first lead of the afternoon in the fourth as the scoring started with Jay Wetherington drawing a bases-loaded walk.
- The Blue Hose gained a lead with a sac fly from Jack Gorman before an RBI single from Brody Fahr pushed the lead to 6-5 after four.
- The Eagles quickly answered with an RBI groundout to even the game at six after 4.5.
- BC used an RBI single in the seventh to jump back in front and held on down the stretch for the 7-6 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED vs George Mason
- George Mason started the scoring in the fourth with an RBI triple which was quickly followed up by an RBI single to take a 2-0 lead.
- The Patriots took advantage of a seventh-inning error from Presbyterian to extend the lead to 3-0.
- PC got on the board in the seventh with a fielder's choice before scoring on a George Mason error to cut it to a 3-2 game.
- George Mason added an RBI double in the eighth to push them to the 4-2 win in the finale on Friday.
